In our day-to-day lives we all crave for happiness. We want to be more happy .Sometimes we catch hold of it, sometimes we don’t. Whatever we do , we just can’t seem to find the algorithm or that secret formula to make it stay with us permanently. Happiness, as referred by many, is just a state of mind. The elusiveness of that state is what makes us go gaga for it.
In this article , I wont be able to give you that secret formula to be permanently happy but what I can provide is everyday tips you can apply instantly to be more happy. I’ll try to keep it as precise as possible. For now we wont be going into the depths of each section, we’ll be doing it in subsequent posts.So, lets jump right into it.
In no particular order :-
1. Living In The Present Moment
This one is Huge.
If there is just one thing which you should take from this article, it would be this:
Staying In The Present Moment . You might have heard this before.
Why is living in the present moment given so much value?How is it even related to being more happy?
Have you ever had moments where you were completely one with yourself, moments where time seemed to stop or slow down,where you didn’t even care/know that you existed.
You see something so Beautiful.
You literally FEEL it (a tree, autumn leaves, flowers, clouds, nature, music, man , woman or the above image) that
captivates you, you are one with it.In that state there is no thought ;
which you realize later.These moments come and go in glimpses. And in moments like these
YOU ARE IN THE PRESENT.
These are the moments in which one feels at complete bliss. Have you ever noticed that the
moments when we happy are the times when we are effortlessly being in the present moment.
So, What Can We Do Practically To Be In The Present Moment?
- Be Aware. Observe everything keenly.
- Try Feeling everything deeply with your heart
- You can meditate and do yoga.
- Every now and then leave everything, completely focus on your breath
- Observe silence, nothingness, empty spaces
Following these on a regular basis can drastically improve your LIFE and lead you to living happier.
2. Following Your Heart
Life is too short to wait.
Why wait to follow your heart.
You wouldn’t even know how time has passed you by. By the time you realize this, it would have been too late and you probably would be filled with regrets.
Stop leading lives from your heads and start living it through your hearts. Give priorities to what TRULY MATTERS to you.
Do what you Love doing, follow your heart because it is what gives meaning to our lives. The only way to find meaning in our life is by following your heart and doing what you love to.
Don’t take my word for it. Don’t believe me.
Just go ahead and feel free to try it out yourself. Let you be our own judge.
Challenge yourself to follow your heart for the Next Two Weeks. If nothing at all, at the least you will definitely have a different outlook on life and without regrets.

3. Taking SELFLESS Actions
Whatever and However I may try and philosophize this, I am bound to fail to extract and share its true value to you.
It is amazingly powerful and this one piece of advice can single-handedly bring you about a life of fulfillment and inner
peace. The highest form of happiness that I have achieved till date came from 1. selfless help and 2. following my heart.
The realization that reason for someone’s happiness was a direct/indirect result of your self less action, being a part of
their happiness, bringing a smile to their lives would make you 10 times more happy than themselves.
Most Importantly, now you wouldn’t be seeking for happiness but SPREADING it. Isn’t that worth living for? The feeling
is out of this world. Try Practice doing just 1 selfless activity per week and you can notice the change.
Gratefulness is the act of being grateful. Warmly or deeply being appreciative of everything in your LIFE. Imagine
waking up everyday with this realization that you are ALIVE. Isn’t that something to be grateful for. It may be the biggest
things to be appreciative of.
Being grateful leads you into a very positive state of being. And in that positivity you become more happy naturally.”If you are grateful to this LIFE, Life would be grateful to You”. The more you appreciate kindness deeply, the more you will attract it.
Practice being thankful to the whole universe and you will wake up in its blissful consciousness.

Health is your biggest wealth.Health plays a major role in how one feels. Happiness can be directly correlated with one’s health. Why do you think some younger people are happier than older ones? Well, health is the reason.
Health, here, does not only relate to the physical body but in other aspects of life as well.Being healthy not only physically
but also mental health, emotional health, spiritual health, psychological determines the happiness quotient in life.
Balance between every aspects of life is absolutely essential and how one achieves this balance makes all the difference in why few people are more happy than others.
